Staying Safe

SAFETY OF OUR CUSTOMERS AND EMPLOYEES
IN THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC

Our customer and employee health and safety is of the upmost importance.
We already run a very tight ship in terms of our hygiene levels and have the top Environmental Health rating (5 Star). We are now taking it a huge step further to fight the Coronavirus. Here’s a few of the new measures we’ve put in place alongside a risk assessment;

Clearly marked ENTRANCE and EXIT ways.

Clearly marked queuing systems.

PHYSICAL DISTANCING
(AS SOCIAL DISTANCING DOESN’T MAKE SENSE IN THE PUB)
We ask that you respect the guidelines and a maintain a minimum of 1 METRE distance from others not in your household where possible.

Customers will be asked to wait at the door in order for one of our staff to take you to your table. Sanitising will be available on arrival at the pub. This will also give our staff time to explain the changes in our operation. It also provides us the ability to manage capacity levels inside and outside the pub. It’s also the reason why we’re encouraging bookings only, even just for a drink at the moment.

Indoor gatherings should be in groups of up to two households (including support bubbles). Outdoor gatherings of 6 people or less can be from any number of households. If your outdoor gathering is of 7 people or more then all should be from no more than two households (or support bubbles).

We ask for your patience in busy periods, we are all new to this and there will be challenging times when the pub is it at full capacity. Please expect queues and longer food and drink service and remember that it’s because we want keep everyone safe.

CLEANING/HYGIENE

To reassure you, the pub will be deep cleaned every morning.

The staff will be washing their hands every twenty minutes and sanitising ‘touch points’ every half an hour.

The tables and chairs will be cleaned after each customer.

Management will be monitoring every step, and we insist on the highest of cleaning standards throughout the pub and in the kitchen.

Sanitising stations have been setup in suitable locations for both customers and staff.

SERVICE AT TABLE

Where physically possible staff will maintain their distance from customers. Please be vigilant when a member of our staff is taking an order or delivering food/drink to your table.

In accordance with the government guidelines and to reduce contact our tables will not be pre-laid with anything. Cutlery and napkins will be placed on your table within a cleanable  receptacle. Salt and peppers will be available on request, which will be cleaned after every use.

HOW TO ORDER

A member of staff will look after you and provide table service.

Please do not come to the bar to order.

DISTANCE BETWEEN TABLES

Serious efforts and consideration have gone into distancing between the tables and positioning of the chairs. We politely ask that you do not move any furniture.

MENUS/WINE/DRINK LISTS

Will only be used once and recycled afterwards.

BAR SERVICE

Please avoid coming up to the bar as this is generally the narrowest of spaces. We will come to you.

CASHLESS AND TIPS

We’ve gone ‘cashless’. Please avoid paying with cash. Contactless or Apple Pay payment is preferred wherever possible. If you would like to leave a tip, there’s now an option to do so when you’re paying your bill.

THE SMALL THINGS

Multi-use items, such as newspapers, board games, dog biscuits, leaflets etc will not be available and we hope you understand.

TOILETS

Toilets will be regularly cleaned and will be restricted to a ‘one at a time’ system due to the lack of space inside. Please be prepared to queue in busy periods.

CHILDREN AND DOGS

Much as they like to, please don’t let them wander inside the pub. The garden space is more suited to this.

NHS TRACK AND TRACE SCHEME

In order to help the NHS we will ask for contact details from a member of each party to collect information to ‘track and trace’ if needed. These records will be kept for a maximum of 21 days before being destroyed.

GARDEN

Our outside tables are not available to book online, however we can book these on request by email or over the phone. A member of staff will take your order at the table, but in busy periods please be patient

We kindly ask that you don’t move tables around, they have been positioned with safety and distancing in mind.

If you are feeling unwell, we respectfully ask that you visit us another day.
We hope that you can visit our pubs with confidence under the new measures in place. Any feedback will be welcomed.
